MCVRD-PL
Privacy Policy
Last updated 29 September 2026
1. Who we are
MCVRD-PL is operated by Mc VR Designs, an Irish sole trader business based at a Connected Hubs location in Clarina, Co. Limerick, Ireland.
Mc VR Designs is responsible for the personal data processed in connection with the operation of MCVRD-PL where we act as the data controller.
MCVRD-PL is an online service. For customer support, privacy questions or data-protection requests, please contact support@mcvrd-pl.ie.
2. Data we process
The information processed by MCVRD-PL depends on how you use the service and what information you choose to enter into your project.
This may include:
- Account and access information necessary to identify your MCVRD-PL account, authenticate access and determine whether your subscription is active.
- Project information such as your name, project name, project budget, Spaces, Items, costs, VAT, deposits, quotes, suppliers, supplier contact information, snags, calendar information and notes that you choose to add.
- Subscription information such as identifiers and subscription status required to connect your MCVRD-PL access with your subscription.
- Support information that you voluntarily provide when contacting us or when submitting a report using the Report a Bug feature.
- Technical and security information that may be necessary for the operation, reliability and security of the service.
- Website analytics information where you have chosen to consent to analytics.
3. Information we do not store
MCVRD-PL is deliberately designed to avoid storing certain information that is not required to provide the Planner.
MCVRD-PL does not store your full payment card or bank account details. Subscription payments and billing are processed by Stripe.
Your billing email address is handled as part of the subscription and payment process and is not stored as a billing email address in the MCVRD-PL Planner database.
If you contact support@mcvrd-pl.ie, your email address and the contents of your message will of course be processed for the purpose of responding to your enquiry.
MCVRD-PL does not provide general-purpose storage for invoices, receipts, photographs or other uploaded project documents.
4. How we use your data
We use personal data where necessary to:
- provide and operate MCVRD-PL;
- authenticate and maintain access to your account;
- confirm and manage subscription access;
- store and display the project information you enter;
- provide customer and account support;
- investigate bug reports and technical problems;
- maintain the security and reliability of the service;
- comply with applicable legal obligations; and
- understand how our website is used through analytics where you have given consent.
Mc VR Designs does not sell your personal data.
5. Legal bases under GDPR
We process personal data in accordance with the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), the Data Protection Act 2018 and other applicable Irish data-protection law.
Depending on the information and the reason it is being processed, we may rely on the following legal bases:
- Performance of a contract — where processing is necessary to provide the MCVRD-PL service you have subscribed to.
- Legitimate interests — where appropriate for purposes such as maintaining the security, reliability and operation of MCVRD-PL, preventing misuse, troubleshooting and providing support, provided those interests are not overridden by your rights and freedoms.
- Legal obligation — where processing or retention is required to comply with applicable law.
- Consent — where your consent is required, including for non-essential analytics.
Where processing is based on consent, you may withdraw that consent at any time. Withdrawal does not affect the lawfulness of processing carried out before consent was withdrawn.
6. Payments and Stripe
Subscription payments for MCVRD-PL are processed by Stripe. Stripe processes the payment and billing information required to complete and manage your subscription.
Mc VR Designs does not receive or store your full payment card number or bank account credentials through MCVRD-PL.
MCVRD-PL may process the subscription, customer or payment-status identifiers necessary to determine whether your subscription is active and whether access to the service should be provided.
7. Sharing and service providers
We use third-party service providers where necessary to operate MCVRD-PL and provide the service.
These may include:
- Stripe for subscription payments and billing;
- Google Analytics for website analytics, but only where you have consented to analytics; and
- service providers used for the secure hosting, infrastructure, communication and operation of MCVRD-PL.
Personal data may also be disclosed where we are required to do so by law or where disclosure is necessary to establish, exercise or defend legal rights.
We do not sell personal information to third parties.
8. International data transfers
Some third-party service providers may process information outside Ireland or the European Economic Area.
Where personal data is transferred internationally and data protection law requires safeguards for that transfer, appropriate safeguards will be used in accordance with applicable law.
9. Data retention
We retain personal data only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes for which it is processed, including providing MCVRD-PL, maintaining account and subscription access, responding to support requests, protecting the service and complying with legal obligations.
Ending a subscription does not necessarily result in immediate deletion of project information. This allows the service to support account renewal and helps prevent unintended loss of project information.
Where you choose to close or delete your project or account, information will be handled in accordance with the functionality provided by MCVRD-PL and any applicable legal retention requirements.
Certain transaction, tax or accounting information may need to be retained for periods required by law.
If you have a question about information associated with your account, contact support@mcvrd-pl.ie.
10. Your rights under GDPR
Subject to the circumstances and applicable law, you may have the right to:
- request access to personal data we hold about you;
- request correction of inaccurate or incomplete data;
- request erasure of your personal data;
- request restriction of processing;
- receive certain personal data in a portable format where the right to data portability applies;
- object to certain processing;
- withdraw consent at any time where processing is based on consent; and
- lodge a complaint with the relevant data-protection supervisory authority.
These rights are not absolute and may depend on the circumstances, the type of information involved and the legal basis for processing.
To exercise a data-protection right or ask a question about your personal data, contact support@mcvrd-pl.ie.
11. Security
We use appropriate technical and organisational measures designed to protect personal data and project information against unauthorised access, alteration, disclosure, loss or destruction.
No internet-based service can guarantee absolute security. Customers should also take reasonable care to protect their MCVRD-PL login information and should not knowingly share access credentials with unauthorised persons.
12. Cookies and analytics
MCVRD-PL may use essential browser storage or similar technologies where necessary for the operation of the website and service.
We also use Google Analytics to help us understand how visitors use the MCVRD-PL website. Analytics is non-essential and is only enabled where you have chosen to accept analytics.
Rejecting analytics does not prevent you from using the MCVRD-PL website or service.
Where analytics consent has been provided, you can later change or withdraw that choice using the Cookie Settings option provided on the website.
13. Complaints
If you have a concern about how your personal data is being handled, please contact us first at support@mcvrd-pl.ie so that we have an opportunity to investigate and respond.
You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Data Protection Commission in Ireland or, where applicable, another competent supervisory authority.
14. Changes to this Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes to MCVRD-PL, our processing activities, service providers or applicable legal requirements.
The date at the top of this page shows when the Privacy Policy was last updated.
